A leading UK Bank is looking for a Qualified Accountant to join one of their high-profile team at Group Level in providing expert advise to senior stakeholders on how to achieve governance best practice in order to add value to the business but also to provide support to the team’s oversight if the various Business Units on an ongoing basis.





The key accountabilities are Financial Reporting and Principal Risk oversight (50%) - Responsible for analysis, reporting and the control environment, as well as provide support in the ownership of the Bank’s Sox Methodology, Account Ownership and Reconciliation (40%)- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives whilst managing the relationship with the off-shoring team which operates part of the process on the team’s behalf, and Ad Hoc Tasks (10%) - assisting the line manager in addressing Ad hoc requests for Group Oversight Committees to be delivered in short notice.



The successful candidate will therefore be a qualified accountant with strong academic background, has good experience of financial accounting and control, has an understanding of the Financial Services Market, good working knowledge of Excel as well as excellent communication, analytical, numerical and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have SOX exposure, proven track record in reviewing and challenging controls environment, a strong auditing background from one of the Top 10 Practice, with ACA first time passes qualification.
