Systems Accountant job in London | Marks Sattin Specialist Recruitment

Our client is seeking a systems accountant for a 12 Month FTC to assist with the wider finance team. The role will involve preparation of financial reporting and developing the current processes in place.

£60-65k / £325-375 Per Day

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate system performance and address any identified issues.

- Maintain financial systems policies and collaborate with IT and finance teams to meet business needs.

- Troubleshoot and resolve finance-related system problems.

- Manage SAP and oversee reporting.

- Implement change management strategies such as Power BI dashboards.

- Provide training and support to finance team members on system usage.

- Coordinate system upgrades with the IT department.

- Prepare presentations for various reporting periods.

- Prioritize balance sheet reconciliations and report high-risk areas to the Financial Controller.

- Ensure journals include necessary details and support.

- Focus on process improvements and attention to detail.

- Assist with audit and statutory accounts production.

- Maintain organized documentation for financial reporting files.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE

- Experience in systems development and finance systems.

- Strong commercial acumen.

- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting systems.

- Effective communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.

- Proficiency in Excel macros and other accounting software.

- Competency in Microsoft Office suite.

- Exposure to audit processes.

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Previous experience in process improvements.
