Role:
Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager the General Ledger Accountantis responsible to perform a variety of complex tasks in general areas of accounting for new Acquired Co's and applies principles of accounting to analyze accounting information and prepare accounting reports by compiling information, preparing journals, profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures for the following areas:
- General Ledger, Inter-Company and Fixed Asset Accounting, following month-end close under company policies and procedures.
- Prepares, compiles and analyzes Monthly consolidated reporting to U.S. Corporate Management and assistance to Finance.
- ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
- analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
- monitor and support taxation issues
- Delivery of a high quality information, customer focused service to Internal Clients.
- Ensuring within multi-lingual, multi-skilled environment active participation in project planning and implementation
- Continually improving the process and procedures, in order to achieve both quality and efficiency under "best in class" practices.
- Active Participation in Ad-Hoc Projects
Responsibilities:
1) Produce a high quality, professional and proactive day to day accounting booking, reconciliations and reporting.
2) Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
3) Participate and coordinate timely production of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements and tax submissions) and support management during financial accounting close cycle.
4) Prepares Consolidated Accounting, Financial Accounting, Intercompany Fixed Assets, US GAAP and Statutory Reporting
5) Develops and maintains a proactive working relationship with Corporate inEuropeand U.S. Corporate Management, through regular contact.
6) Accounting audit preparation and coordinate the all audit processes and queries related in a timely fashion, continually seeking out ways to improve satisfaction.
7) Integration to peer accounting teams geared towards high quality service delivery to Accounting Controllership, Finance Controllership and U.S. Corporate
8) Establish and monitor adequately controlled accounting practices, in line with US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley, with independent verification and review steps within processes.
9) Ensure that all reconciliations are performed and cleared in line with agreed procedures; ensure the reconciliations/control database is maintained.
10) Ensure operating procedures are followed.
11) Ensures timely compliance with audit requests for information (internal and external).
Requirements:
- Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA)
- 1 + years relevant experience preferably in a multinational environment and operational accounting / audit
- Familiar with US GAAP, Knowledge of IFRS
