Fund Accounting Manager`

With 2012 now fully into swing and a host of new business wins under their belt, our client, a leading global fund administrator, is keen to continue to develop their subject matter expertise along with their management team with a strong Fund Accounting Manager to assist in the growth and day to day managing of one of their most high profile teams.

Some of the major duties associated with the role are as follows:

• Ensure the accounting records of client funds are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Ensure the net asset values (NAVs)/dividend factors/weighted average maturities are calculated according to agreed standard and client specific procedures and timetables.
• Ensure the necessary controls are in place and adhered to in order to provide complete, accurate and timely fund administration services to our clients. Such responsibility includes adherence by all team members to the Operations Procedures Manual and to the client service level agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain/update client standing files including client-specific procedures (detailing client-agreed deviations from or additions to standard procedures contained in the Procedures Manual) on a timely basis and ensure existing and new procedures agreed with our clients are formally communicated to the necessary staff as soon as required.
• Provide non-daily services to all clients including month-end reporting, compliance review and expense payments.
• Ensure the team is providing and receiving complete and accurate data and information from all internal parties
• Become involved in Ad Hoc projects and on-boarding of new clients where applicable.

Required:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification
• Mutual and Or Hedge Fund Exposure with daily and monthly experience
• 7 Years Fund Services experience with at least 4 at Supervisory/Management level.
• Strong Communication, Presentation and planning and Analysis skills.
• Keen interest in Driving and Managing Internal team projects
