Our Client, one of the largest FMCG group's in Europe with a turnover of approximately £4billion pa., is looking to recruit a high calibre Financial Analyst to be based at their UK and European head office in theNorth West, due to the expansion of the finance function. The successful applicant will be reporting in to the group FD, and in turn will have their own line of report. Industry related experience is essential with this position, particularly any experience as a Financial Analyst. The main responsibilities of this role include:

• Weekly Summaries.
• Overseeing of longs and input.
• Monthly meetings with the sales team.
• Assisting sales team with queries.
• Assisting with the month end process.
• Reconciliations of sales deductions.
• Manual Journals.
• Month end profitability reports.
• Provision for credit and bad debt.
• Preparation of monthly accruals for all customer deductions.

The ideal candidate would be/have:

• A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or someone who is studying towards a relevant qualification, with some post-qualification experience in an FMCG environment, or as a Financial Analyst.
• Financial awareness and the ability to apply this knowledge to advise the business area in meeting objectives.
• Able to build effective relationships with non financial members of staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good planning, organisational and presentational skills.
• Excellent excel modelling and analytical capability.
