Start your job searchA luxury hotel in central london is seeking a Deputy Head of Finance to join it's growing company to sit in a senior commercial position within the business. The role will focus on reporting and controls, identification and resolution of issues and preparation for new openings.
This role will include the following duties and responsibilities:
- Review of trading and implementation of specific performance improvements;
- Review of balance sheet and cashflows;
- Review of budgets (including capital expenditure) during the annual budget process;
- Responsible for capital expenditure authorisations, including assessment of return of investment;
- Development of the Group policies and procedures manual;
- Finance lead on new openings including recruitment of key finance personnel, implementation of Group policies and procedures and control of the pre-opening budgets;
- Implementation of internal audits programmes;
- Ad hoc finance projects as may be required.
The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with preferably 3-5 years experience within the hotel industry in a financial controller position. Ideally you will also have had vast exposure to internal audit. You must be proactive and professional, able to deal with ad hoc requests whilst maintaining focus on their larger projects. A high degree of Excel proficiency is important.
You will be a qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with a high level of communication skill being essential. There will also be a high level of travel involved in the role.
