A leading Sports and Leisure Brand are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a 9-12 month Fixed Term Contract with potential permanent employment. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands on experience within an exciting Sporting organisation. You will engage with various departments both internally and externally including Promoters and Sponsors. If you have an interest in Sports & Leisure this is the ideal opportunity to expand your skill set within Finance in a highly sought after industry.

Reporting to the Financial Controller your responsibilities will include:

Monitoring all debtors for Organisation events with completion of the Sales Ledger, chasing debtors and producing debtor reports

Process transactions for and reconcile all Group bank accounts , banking of international or currency cheques and posting onto nominal ledger

Preparing sales invoice proposals for Event expenses and liaise with Event Directors for the approval and completion of sales invoices

Regularly agree recharges between companies within the Group as well as third parties and ensure intercompany client accounts are reconciled

You will be a Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with an education to degree level (or equivalent). You will possess a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience within a recognised finance function and an interest in Sport will be highly advantageous. Due to the nature of this role, you will be a strong communicator in order to liaise efficiently with Senior Management in various departments internally/externally.
