The role will involve assisting the finance department with daily operations including purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, compilation of reports, assisting with month end duties and working with the team to complete all accounting duties in a timely manner.

Duties will include:

• Bank reconciliations
• Managing petty cash
• Purchase ledger - coding, matching, posting, payment runs
• Processing Expenses
• Credit control
• Sales Ledger - creating/ posting invoices and debt collection tasks
• Supporting Month end management accounts process
• Assisting with management and compilation of regular HMRC returns
• Maintaining spreadsheets on excel and providing data analysis

Ideal requirements:

• AAT Level 4 or equivalent as an ideal
• Previous experience in a finance department
• Computer and technology skills essential
• MS Office, especially solid Excel skill is critical. Sage Accounts an advantage
• Excellent organisational skills and an eye for accuracy and detail
• Confident and a professional telephone manner to deal with customers/suppliers etc

£18,000 - £22,000 + study support
