The main purpose of the role is to perform assigned accounting activities in a timely and accurate manner, while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities are to include, but not be limited to:

- Review and maintain high volume nominal ledger accounts

- Reconciliation of balance sheet while maintaining accounts

- Preparation and posting of journals

- VAT return preparation and analysis and periodic adjustments and reports

- Ownership of Sales and Purchase Ledgers

- Reconciliation and follow up of statements and aged items

- Resolution of both internal and external customer queries in a timely manner

- Review bank reconciliations and investigate any anomalies

- Produce the KPI's for the finance function

- Liaise with different departments where necessary

- Contribute to process improvements within the department

Successful candidates will -

- Possess a very strong 'customer first' attitude

- Have experience of working in a high volume transaction environment with the ability to work with and understand high volumes of data paying a high level of attention to detail

- Have Kerridge knowledge and good working knowledge of Excel

- Be Part Qualified Accountant or possess AAT qualification

- Hold a UK driving licence
