Clients turn to us because we are proactive, we really care about our work, and we’re capable of making a difference in every area of their business.
Our practice areas:
Our markets
We focus on four key markets: large privately held and smaller listed businesses; individuals and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs); public sector organisations; and large listed businesses. We operate in most sectors ranging from media to agriculture.
Our Culture
We’re a prestigious firm of accountants and business advisors – so you’d be forgiven for thinking the atmosphere would be corporate and stuffy. But that’s not the case. We’re actually a remarkably friendly and down-to-earth group of people. And we think this straightforward way of doing business is one of our key strengths.
We go out of our way to treat our people as grown-ups. We only hire those who share our high standards, so you’ll discover you’re trusted to do the best possible job for our clients. If you excel, you’ll find new opportunities are made available very quickly; early responsibility and rapid promotion are very much the norm here.
There's always something going on socially – whether that's team events, charity fundraising initiatives, the Christmas party, or sports activities. How much or how little you get involved is completely up to you.
Your development
Much of the value we offer our clients is created through the specialist skills and deep knowledge of our people. So it’s not surprising that training and development are taken very seriously at Grant Thornton.
The approach here is all about giving everyone the energetic support and first-class resources they need to drive their own learning. This process is supported by your line manager and tailored to your individual needs.
And of course, one of the best ways to grow professionally is by gaining new experiences. The size and shape of Grant Thornton’s business mean the possibilities for career mobility are practically endless. If you’re interested in trying fresh challenges, there’s always a new sector to investigate, a new client group to work with, or even a new service area to learn about.
The opportunities aren’t limited to the UK either. As part of the Grant Thornton International network of member firms, we’re in a position to offer secondments and permanent roles on a truly global scale.
